Clinical Coding Specialist

The Clinical Coding Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the Coding Department at Cone Health Medical Group HeartCare at Church Street. This position is responsible for assigning standard diagnosis and procedure codes on a daily basis, ensuring accurate and complete medical coding in documents and patient files.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign codes to charges per established departmental standards.
- Evaluate billing and reimbursement documentation for accuracy and completion.
- Research and resolve any ineligible charges for missing and/or incomplete data.
- Determine whether patient files meet federal regulations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in medical coding or a related field.
- Certification by the American Academy of Professional Coders or Alamance Regional Medical Center.
