Job Summary:

Cone Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Clinic Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide nursing support and coordinate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care by preparing examination rooms, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and updating patient records.
  • Process recommendations from healthcare providers, such as medication orders, referrals, and diagnostic tests, to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
  • Provide patient education and support by explaining treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient documentation, managing medical supplies, and assisting with medical billing and insurance claims.
  • Support medical professionals during appointments and clinic visits, providing crucial patient history information to best treat the patient.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and Diploma Practical Nursing
  • EXPERIENCE:
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: Required: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure: Successfully pass NC Nursing Boards for LPN and maintain a current and continuous unrestricted LPN License.
  • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
