Description:

Pain Specialists of America (PSA) is a Texas-based, multisite comprehensive pain management organization seeking a high-energy, compassionate, and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic team at our Temple location.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct thorough physical exams and patient observations.
  • Record patient medical histories and symptoms.
  • Develop and contribute to patient care plans.
  • Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Evaluate patient responses to treatments and medications.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals.
  • Train patients and families on managing pain.
  • Manage health problems and coordinate healthcare for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • RN licensure in Texas and board certification by either ANCC or AANP.
  • Prior experience working with pain management patients is preferred but not required.
  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience and credentials are required.
  • 2-5 years of experience are required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires long periods of sitting, with moderate standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee may be asked to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
