At Yale New Haven Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Resident to join our team. As a Pharmacy Resident, you will play a critical role in providing pharmaceutical care to our patients and contributing to the development of our pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities
  • Provide pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication therapy management and drug therapy optimization.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy practice policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use.
  • Conduct medication use evaluations and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality metrics.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of pharmacy practice guidelines and standards.
  • Participate in research projects and contribute to the development of new knowledge in pharmacy practice.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a B.S. or Pharm. D. degree or equivalent experience.
  • Eligibility for Connecticut pharmacist licensure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Accountability

The Pharmacy Resident will be held accountable to the Residency Program Director for maintaining the highest level of professional standards and fulfilling the requirements of the position.

Complexity

The Pharmacy Resident will be expected to demonstrate leadership qualities and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal. This individual will require a high degree of planning and discretion in making therapeutic and technical decisions.

Licenses/Certifications

Current licensed Pharmacist (PGY2 applicants) and eligible for CT Pharmacy License (PGY1 applicants).
