Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Senior IT Business Consultant to join our team. This role is crucial in defining requirements and designing solutions for business information systems, aimed at enhancing workflow, productivity, and overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the collection and analysis of business and system requirements.
  • Design and implement intricate management information systems.
  • Ensure that information systems align with organizational goals and facilitate problem-solving related to business systems.
  • Manage system project requirements from a client perspective, ensuring high client satisfaction through effective monitoring of system delivery.
  • Assist business owners in evaluating automation opportunities for existing or proposed processes and assess the feasibility of system modifications.
  • Analyze new business needs, system functionalities, and user requirements; specify functional designs and collaborate with developers for implementation.
  • Document and analyze input/output requirements, procedural flows, and organizational structures for new or revised business systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee project teams, ensuring effective training for business system users.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners.
  • Collaborate with IT departments to maintain and upgrade relevant systems.
  • Ensure compliance with security and privacy requirements while resolving system functionality issues.
  • Implement technology-driven enhancements through effective project management.
  • Develop and enforce standards and policies regarding IT activities.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree combined with eight years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
  • Understanding of computer system capabilities and business processes.
  • Proficiency in enterprise applications and database-driven systems.
  • Ability to design and document complex business systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to bridge technical and functional discussions.
  • Experience in a healthcare IT environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of privacy and security regulations.

Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring regular onsite presence to meet departmental needs. Candidates should be prepared for extended hours as necessary.
