Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at PostJobMatches By WorkStaff USA Staffing Agency LLC. As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for operating radiation therapy equipment, setting up and treating patients, and maintaining accurate patient treatment records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate all radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and high dose rate afterloading machines.
  • Perform morning checks and warm-ups of CT/SIM and/or accelerators.
  • Treat patients with prescribed modes, energies, doses, and monitor units/treatment times as prescribed by a physician.
  • Participate in a team approach to giving radiation treatments.
  • Maintain treatment records, schedule patient treatments, and provide patient instructions.
  • Make patient set-up devices, immobilization devices, and radiation field-shaping blocks.
  • Exhibit standards of professional behavior appropriate to the age-specific needs of each patient.
  • Protect patients, staff, visitors, and self from unnecessary radiation exposure or injury.
  • Prevent transmission of infectious disease through adherence to infection control practices.
  • Maintain good verbal and written communication skills and work collaboratively with all staff members.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Current CRT/ARRT Certificate and Graduate from an Accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
License, Certification, Registration
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certificate (California) OR Radiologic Technologist Certification.
  • Basic Life Support.
Additional Requirements
  • California Fluoroscopy license (required in areas where fluoroscopy is performed by the therapist for patient diagnosing).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Use of record and verify system and multi-leaf collimators.
  • One (1) year recent and relevant experience preferred in patient treatment using various radiation therapy equipment.
