AFC is the parent organization of AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This role is directly associated with a franchised business location, and specific job responsibilities and benefits may differ among franchises.

Job Summary

Conduct radiographic imaging procedures to assist healthcare professionals in diagnosing medical conditions and injuries. Oversee the X-Ray Technologist team.

Key Responsibilities

- Be open to cross-training in various roles, including medical assisting and front desk operations.

- Welcome patients and clearly explain procedures with empathy.

- Position patients correctly for imaging procedures.

- Implement ALARA principles for radiation safety.

- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, ensuring all supplies are ordered and stocked appropriately.

- Process imaging results, ensuring proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for physician review as well as radiologist assessments.

- Operate both digital and traditional imaging equipment, adhering to established radiology techniques and all relevant policies and procedures.

- Assist physicians with prescribed patient treatments in line with approved standards and protocols.

- Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and arrange for repairs as necessary.

- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training. ARRT registration or board eligibility is preferred. Must be licensed in accordance with state regulations.
