Position Overview:

Additionally, the supervisor will be tasked with organizing storage areas and compiling end-of-month inventory reports for banquet equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
The Event Operations Supervisor is responsible for:
  • Setting up meeting rooms and private function areas with the necessary equipment and materials, including tables, chairs, linens, staging, and any other requested items.
  • Exhibiting keen attention to detail by properly arranging meeting spaces according to management standards and floor plans.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of banquet configurations and equipment usage.
  • Taking down meeting spaces, which includes removing furniture and resetting the room per specifications outlined in the banquet event order.
  • Inspecting banquet equipment for defects, cleanliness, and any required maintenance.
  • Regularly cleaning meeting and event spaces, including changing soiled linens and straightening chairs.
  • Ensuring proper care by adhering to safety guidelines during the movement and storage of equipment.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in service corridors, pre-function spaces, and storage areas.
  • Creating and maintaining monthly inventory reports for all banquet equipment and supplies.
  • Participating as a back-of-house team member during special events, which includes delivering food, refreshing service, and providing beverage service.
  • Assisting during special event operations as needed, ensuring service meets the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Acting as a liaison to the stadium conversion team.
  • Organizing and maintaining banquet storage areas.
  • Keeping the assigned work area clean and orderly.
  • Attending and participating in weekly stadium conversion meetings.
  • Participating in BEO meetings and pre-conference meetings as assigned.
  • Supervising, training, and motivating banquet operations staff.
  • Being available to work during all home games, stadium-wide events, and special assignments.
  • Performing duties in both indoor and outdoor settings, with events occurring in various weather conditions and noise levels.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in banquet setup within large, high-volume venues.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional shifts, including extended hours and a flexible schedule that may involve early mornings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Capability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and adapt to last-minute changes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn relevant databases and systems.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

It is essential to follow and promote all safety policies and procedures, including identifying and reporting unsafe work conditions, and completing all required safety training.

All safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) must be reported to the company's risk management system on the same day they occur.
