Job Overview

The Asset Management Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering insightful analysis regarding the performance of our asset portfolio, which includes Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), leases, and loans. This position is essential for supporting decision-making processes within our organization. The focus will be on optimizing asset performance and identifying key trends within the asset servicing domain. Additional responsibilities will encompass financial operations, asset oversight, and billing/accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate comprehensive reports using PowerBI to oversee and enhance production performance across the PPA and asset portfolio.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of operational and financial data sourced from various platforms, including spreadsheets, Google Sheets, SQL databases, and CSV files. This involves examining rates, pricing, budgets, invoicing, billing, and collections.
  • Create reports that facilitate data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Develop PowerBI reports to assess and manage customer service performance within our department.
  • Compile financial reports to monitor departmental budgets and expenses related to special projects.
  • Conduct feasibility analyses for special projects and evaluate financial transactions.
  • Ensure timely reporting to internal stakeholders.
  • Present analytical findings to senior management.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Executive teams to enhance financing relationships.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

General Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within the PPA, lease, or loan sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in business performance analysis and data analytics, including variance analysis of financial results, budgets, and operational KPIs.
  • Proficient in managing extensive data sets and translating them into actionable insights.
  • Experience in reviewing periodic financial statements.
  • Background in supporting corporate finance transactions.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and lead improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in distributed energy, solar, or retail power sectors is preferred; related loan experience is also considered.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX functions, table relationships, and data types - Required.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, including vlookup, index, pivot tables, and conditional functions - Required.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Data Warehouses, and automated reporting tools - Preferred.
  • Experience in financial modeling - Preferred.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business is preferred.
