Job Title: Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead our Vegetation Management Department in the San Antonio / Austin area. This is a great opportunity to join a Texas-based company that values employee growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the Vegetation Management Department, including contract administration, asset management, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage an annual budget for the department and assist with the overall budget for the organization.
  • Provide effective leadership between customers and within the department, ensuring that field operations meet company standards.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in all aspects of Vegetation Management programs, monitoring and evaluating regulatory changes for compliance and new business opportunities.
  • Direct the company's Customer Satisfaction program, including claims management.
  • Oversee hiring, training, employee retention, and terminations of subordinates.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in an operational leadership role leading large teams in the vegetation management, construction management, or utility industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory changes associated with arboriculture industry.
  • Knowledge of ANSI Z133 and OSHA standards.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Experience in the field of vegetation management for electric distribution and transmission right-of-way.
  • Possesses computer and technology skills, including the use of processing software such as Excel, Word, and general concepts of Payroll Software.
  • Actively participates in industry organizations and acts as a leading expert in this field.
  • International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist Certification, Utility Specialist Certification, and/or Certified Pesticide Applicator certification(s) preferred.
  • Must possess a current, legally valid driver's license and meet the Company's driving record requirements.
  • Must pass required background check.

  • Action-oriented, detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and budget-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time in a dynamic environment.
