Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Sales Executive to join our team at JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for handling complex social and local corporate catering opportunities, providing day-to-day supervision to catering sales associates, and achieving catering revenue goals by actively up-selling each business opportunity to maximize revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the sales efforts for the property, including local corporate and social catering.
  • Respond to incoming catering opportunities for the property.
  • Identify, qualify, and solicit new catering business to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
  • Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to establish coordinated sales efforts.
  • Interact effectively with sales, kitchen, vendors, competitors, local community, catering associations, and other hotel departments to monitor guest satisfaction.
  • Execute exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop a close working relationship with operations to execute strategies at the property level.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of catering sales experience.
