As an Assistant Test Engineering Manager at Barco, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of test solutions for electronic PCBAs. Your expertise will ensure high-quality testing processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of our production.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- 4-10 years of experience in creating test fixtures or automated testing solutions within an Electronics Manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in NI TestStand and NI LabVIEW (CTD/CLD certification is a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of JTAG Provision for complex digital PCBAs with various components such as FPGAs, DDRs, SPI Flashes, and high-density connectors.
- Strong background in developing Bed-Of-Nail test fixtures.
- Familiarity with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Instrument-Control utilizing LabVIEW.
- Solid understanding of electronic components and circuits.
- Excellent communication, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office tools.
- Experience with microcontrollers and embedded C programming.
- Knowledge of data acquisition and instrument control.
- Ability to work under pressure with a pragmatic and flexible approach.
- Understanding of communication protocols including I2C, SPI, CAN, and UART.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain PCBA test fixtures and associated software.
- Independently create new PCBA test software using NI TestStand, NI LabVIEW, and JTAG Provision.
- Provide DFT feedback to R&D after thorough analysis of PCB schematics and layouts.
- Support local production to ensure efficient testing and high First Pass Yield (FPY).
- Collaborate with overseas EMS test-engineering teams to optimize and troubleshoot existing test fixtures.
- Document all test fixtures comprehensively (including wiring diagrams, test coverage, and directives).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement suggestions for enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to standard processes within the domain.
- Initiate improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and FPY for owned test setups.
- Focus on reducing test times and achieving cost savings.
- Debug PCBA test sequences and VIs using various instruments such as AC/DC power supplies, digital oscilloscopes, DAQ devices, multiplexers, and function generators.
