We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Integration Engineer to join our Business Applications team at Uber. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing critical integrations at a global scale, delivering a world-class experience for the UberEats Business.

This role is instrumental in architecting and implementing robust MuleSoft-based integrations, leading the Engineering best practices, and being a thought partner on the future of Salesforce integrations.

Your solutions will have a significant impact on Uber's results in areas of user growth, revenue, and global expansion. This role will require expertise in the integrations space to lead the collaboration across teams and sites within the Salesforce integration community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement API and Robust Integrations: Use MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to connect Salesforce with various systems, applications, data sources, including internal and 3rd party cloud solutions.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop efficient integration solutions to meet organizational goals.
  • Integration Development: Lead the development of critical integrations using MuleSoft platform, APIs, while ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Integration Optimization: Customize MuleSoft integrations to align with specific project requirements, and continuously optimize existing integrations for enhanced performance.
  • Integration Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve integration issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Technology Trends: Stay abreast of the latest technology trends in integration and MuleSoft ecosystems, recommending improvements and innovations.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, including design specifications, deployment guides, and operational support documentation.
  • Seamless Integration: Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration processes.
  • Agile Development: Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Basic Qualifications
  • MuleSoft Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience working with the MuleSoft integration platform.
  • MuleSoft Expertise: Strong expertise in designing and implementing MuleSoft solutions for complex business processes.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in Java and other programming languages relevant to MuleSoft development.
  • API Design: In-depth knowledge of API design, development, and management.
  • Integration Patterns: Experience with various integration patterns, protocols, and standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • API Security: Proficiency in implementing and maintaining robust API security measures, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MuleSoft Certifications: MuleSoft certifications, such as MuleSoft Certified Developer or MuleSoft Certified Architect, are highly desirable.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Salesforce, and hands-on experience with cloud-based integrations.
  • DevOps Practices: Understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Agile Development: Experience working in Agile development environments, with a strong commitment to delivering iterative, high-quality solutions.
  • Complex Problem-Solving: Enjoys solving complex business problems through innovative and technology-driven solutions.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certifications in architecture, development, and Sales/Service consulting is a bonus.
