Deputy Director of Engineering

Fuse Integration is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director of Engineering to join our team in San Diego. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our engineering department and driving innovation within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to develop and execute the engineering department's strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and objectives.
- Act as a key representative of the engineering department in executive meetings, providing insights, updates, and strategic recommendations to the C-suite.
- Lead and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive innovation within the engineering department by promoting the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and best practices.
- Manage and oversee large-scale engineering projects, ensuring effective resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role, with a track record of success in driving engineering strategy and execution.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, technologies, and best practices, with the ability to provide technical guidance on complex projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with executives and represent the engineering department at the highest levels.
