Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

At CommonSpirit Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of respiratory therapy. We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

About the Role:

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory problems. Your expertise will include administering therapy modalities, such as hand-held nebulizers, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation, and chest physical therapy. You will also perform ventilation therapies, including maintenance and management of life support systems, and conduct physiological monitoring and diagnostic testing.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer therapy modalities, including hand-held nebulizers, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation, and chest physical therapy
  • Perform ventilation therapies, including maintenance and management of life support systems
  • Conduct physiological monitoring and diagnostic testing, including ABG puncture, bronchoscopy assistance, and pulmonary function testing
  • Document patient care accurately and completely in the required departmental documentation system
  • Serve as a resource to certified respiratory therapists, preceptor for new employees, and respiratory care students
Qualifications:
  • Completion of respiratory care degree program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of Texas (RCP)
  • Based on location assignment, may also require BLS/ACLS/ and or PALS
