Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will provide critical care to patients suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems.

Responsibilities
  • Administer therapy modalities, including oxygen and helium-oxygen therapy, to patients with respiratory deficiencies and abnormalities.
  • Perform ventilation therapies, including maintenance and management of life support systems, and transport ventilator patients to diagnostic procedures.
  • Conduct physiological monitoring and diagnostic testing, including ABG puncture, bronchoscopy assistance, and pulmonary function testing.
  • Document patient care accurately and completely in the required departmental documentation system.
  • Serve as a resource to certified respiratory therapists, preceptor for new employees, and respiratory care students.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a respiratory care degree program.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of Texas (RCP).
  • Based on location assignment, may also require BLS/ACLS/ and or PALS.
