Job Overview

Position: Project Manager, Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is seeking a skilled Project Manager with expertise in FDA consulting. This role involves collaborating closely with FDA agency clients to facilitate the planning and execution of significant strategic and organizational transformation projects. You will engage with client leadership to establish expectations for deliverables, guide the development of work products, and ensure high-quality outcomes from our analyst team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience working with or for the FDA on high-profile and enterprise-level projects. Experience as a trusted advisor or in leading similar initiatives is highly desirable. Candidates must be located in the DC metro area.

Please note: This is not an IT position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all facets of contract operational support involving multiple complex and interrelated project tasks, often leading teams of contractors across various locations.
  • Provide strategic direction for project activities.
  • Maintain contractor relations with senior levels of the client's organization.
  • Consult with both customer and contractor personnel to develop and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project schedules, costs, and contractual commitments.
  • Generate and maintain technical and financial reports to communicate project progress to management and clients, assign responsibilities to team members, and ensure successful task completion.
  • Create client briefing documents, reports, and presentations.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Systems Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in management consulting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supporting FDA initiatives.
  • Proven experience working across diverse organizations to drive stakeholders toward a common goal.
  • Ability to manage a diverse team of senior leaders and clients while adapting to shifting demands and priorities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while engaging with various stakeholders during critical periods.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues and risks proactively.
  • Proven track record of leading a diverse team to fulfill all project requirements.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
