About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Product Design leader to drive design excellence and user experiences for Centerfield's suite of client and consumer brands. Our portfolio includes categories like home services, business, savings, and more. The ideal candidate has expertise in optimizing site usability and developing consistent, cross-channel product design, with a proven track record of translating business goals into design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the product design team in developing and advancing design systems, from early foundations to clearly defined stages of progress and adoption.
  • Implement and/or improve team processes around workflow and management, as best suited for different working styles.
  • Organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks with precision and business understanding, defining and communicating timelines and success metrics to the design team.
  • Coach and mentor designers, helping them advance to mid, senior, and lead levels in both technical and soft skills.
  • Foster a team culture centered around accountability, creativity, innovation, and delight in the day-to-day experience and design process.
  • Partner with product management to maintain and manage the roadmap as it pertains to design resourcing, goals, and prioritization of business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and/or product across many different business areas to define and manage design requirements.
  • Lead the design team in creating data-driven A/B tests and experiments to optimize user experiences and key performance metrics.
  • Analyze and interpret A/B tests and monthly performance data to ideate and determine design strategy.
  • Manage team performance data to track trends and assess the impact of individuals on their goals and contributions to the business.
  • Provide comprehensive design critiques at all stages, ensuring all work meets stringent requirements and quality standards.
  • Leverage user research and usability studies to inform and enhance UX strategy.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of management experience within product design and digital experiences, preferably in D2C web experiences.
  • At least 8 years in the field of design.
  • A deep understanding of product strategy as it relates to design and business needs.
  • An excellent communicator with strong organization skills, experience in aligning stakeholders on the what and why of our work.
  • A proven record of success in managing teams through individual and business challenges.
  • Proven success increasing conversion and engagement via thoughtful and delightful design.
  • Experience designing for different industries/products with an informed approach to optimizing design for UX and product goals.
  • Ability to use quant/qual data to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive action.
