We are seeking an experienced and customer-centric Apartment Leasing Consultant to join our team at The Coves at Monticello, an apartment community in Palmyra, VA.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for marketing the apartment community, presenting its features and benefits to prospective residents, and securing lease agreements from qualified individuals. You will work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment and be expected to meet high performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market the apartment community and present its features and benefits to prospective residents
  • Qualify and determine the needs and preferences of prospective residents
  • Answer incoming phone calls and handle each call accordingly
  • Maintain awareness of local market conditions and trends
  • Contribute ideas to the Community Manager for marketing the property and improving resident satisfaction
  • Complete all lease applications, assist with application verification, and notify prospective residents of results
  • Complete all lease paperwork, including related addenda, and accept rents and deposits
  • Physically inspect the property when on grounds, pick up litter, and report any service needs to the maintenance staff
  • Assist the Community Manager in preparing daily and weekly reports, resident communications, move-out inventory, market surveys, etc.
  • Ensure all rental practices comply with federal, state, and local laws
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation
  • Ability to utilize personal transportation to inspect the apartment community and surrounding neighborhoods
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Yardi preferred
  • Experience with LIHTC program preferred
  • Weekend hours required on a rotating basis
