About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer and Trainer to join our team at the Legal Services Corporation. As a key member of our Office of Training and Technical Assistance, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing our organizational training strategy and work plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs and materials for adult learners, focusing on adult education and Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT).
  • Conduct research to identify subject matter experts and develop instructional end goals and key performance measures tailored to adult education.
  • Collaborate with the TTA team to develop training programs and materials, including creating curriculum plans using instructional design principles and training outlines.
  • Design and create exercises and activities that enhance the learning and knowledge transfer process, and develop necessary supporting materials and media.
  • Deliver training for adult professionals live and in person, and through asynchronous methods, emphasizing Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT).
  • Provide direction to the OTTA Coordinator for registration and logistics of VILT sessions.
  • Update and maintain electronic training materials in collaboration with the TTA team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in education, curriculum and instruction, instructional design, education technology, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in adult learning or any combination of education and relevant adult learning experience totaling at least seven years for Instructional Designer and Trainer II, and six years for Instructional Designer and Trainer III.
  • Knowledge of and experience with leading practices in adult education, instructional design, asynchronous learning, and curriculum design.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) and/or Instructor-Led Training (ILT).
  • Experience with multiple Learning Management Systems and e-learning applications, including Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate.
