Job Summary

At Elite, we are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Quality Improvement Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Improvement department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of quality care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Quality Improvement Manager, participate in analysis, interpretation, and translation of health plan data, issues, trends, and relationships into effective strategies and action plans.
  • Manage assigned projects and effectively communicate with QI Manager on project status updates, deadlines, and roadblocks.
  • Develop and prepare reports to support Elite's leadership and clinical sites utilizing available analytics and data mining tools.
  • Support submission and audit process for quality programs, including health plan, national, and state-level quality programs.
  • Evaluate report requests to determine the organization's needs and objectives, identifying correct methodology for extracting data, including data sources and criteria.
  • Maintain and develop quality and risk internal reporting from data extractions from tools within systems and databases.
  • Work alongside business partners and health plans to obtain needed reports to integrate into internal reports.
  • Review patient chart within EMR to understand issues with data capture within quality reporting system.
  • Ensure the privacy and security of PHI (Protected Health Information) as outlined in Elite's policies and procedures relating to HIPAA compliance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two (2) year previous experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills; customer focused; excellent attention to detail; able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; strong interpersonal skills; able to work in a team environment.
  • Basic keyboarding skills at 35 WPM.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to interface with all customer levels (physicians, organizational staff, insurance companies, patients, and family members).
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates.
  • Minimum two (2) year previous experience within an acute healthcare system environment.

Education:

  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Preferred Education: Master's degree in a healthcare-related field.
