Kids Assistant Lead

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the operations of our Academy/Child Center. As a Kids Assistant Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, engagement, and overall success of our junior members while upholding Life Time's Mission and Vision Statements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a safe, clean, and friendly environment for members and guests
  • Partner with the Kids Manager to prepare for events and programming, and drive participation numbers and revenue
  • Manage the Academy/Child Center payroll within budgetary guidelines and make recommendations as needed
  • Support the Kids team members by providing ongoing training, feedback, and coaching
  • Complete the casting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of kids team members
  • Manage and maintain supplies, toys, and equipment within the Academy/Child Center and for events and programming

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience teaching or working in a children's program
  • 2 years of experience in a day care setting as a lead teacher or 2 consecutive summers of camp experience with increased responsibility
  • 2 years of supervisory/management experience
  • Successfully complete and pass Kids On-Demand Certifications before the first day of work
  • First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to engage a group of children in an activity
  • Customer service and strong communication skills

Compensation

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $21.50 and paying up to $29.00, based on experience and qualifications.
