Position Summary:
The Premium Audit Department at Cincinnati Insurance Company is actively seeking a premium auditor to cover our designated territory. This role involves auditing property casualty commercial lines policies to determine appropriate classifications, exposures, and premium bases.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing earned premiums in compliance with company, industry, and governmental regulations.
  • Conducting audits at agents' commercial clients' locations.
  • Verifying premium bases through the examination of ledgers, state or federal records, financial statements, and other accounting documents.
  • Investigating and establishing accurate policy classifications through personal interviews and on-site inspections.
  • Documenting any changes in the insured's operations.
  • Preparing and submitting comprehensive reports within set deadlines.
  • Engaging with agents and associates to communicate and support audit findings.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and effective communication skills.
  • Solid analytical capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the property casualty sector and its products.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following credentials are advantageous:
  • A degree in insurance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Industry designations such as APA or CPCU.
Required Experience:
Experience in insurance and/or auditing is essential.
