Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our dynamic legal team at Jobot. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, overseeing all aspects of the accounts payable function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Process and verify 1099 forms, ACH transactions, and wire transfers.
  • Perform month-end close activities, including the preparation of financial reports and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Manage the posting of cash receipts and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
  • Oversee the expense reimbursement process, reviewing expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable function.
  • Supervise accounts payable staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proficiency in 1099, ACH and Wires, month-end close, posting of cash receipts, expense reimbursement, and Accounts Payable Management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a commitment to developing and motivating team members.
