Job Description

The CMC Product Engineer will lead the strategic management of process improvements, stability, and growth across Commercial and Military product lines to meet site goals.

The CMC Product Engineer will develop and utilize processes that assure the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, delivered in accordance with schedule commitments.

CMC Product Engineer will navigate start to finish product ownership, from contributions to blueprint development through completed parts, with a heavy focus on change management and flow-down.

CMC Product Engineer will work collaboratively with Process Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations and Design, as well as cross-site collaboration with external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support plant safety policies and objectives
  • Serve as plant focal for product engineering management of GE 9X liners
  • Drive APQP, NPI and MOC Activities in support of new and existing programs. Lead projects that span multiple process operations
  • Take responsibility for the part routings and operational sequencing
  • Support Lean Initiatives and problem solving using Flight Deck
  • Drive KPI's for safety, quality, delivery and cost and culture.
  • Participate and lead key operating rhythms such as core teams meetings
  • Key Contributor and leader for any specialized team working on quality or costing for your program
  • Accountable for driving special projects to ensure effective industrialization, lean, yield, cost, cycle & production improvements
  • Responsible for driving/supporting process stability projects across the multiple operations to improve overall capability
  • Work boundlessly within the organization and the PE Team to ensure that policies and procedures are consistent
  • Articulate progression of projects and/or programs to all facets of the business
  • Serve as a link between design and program management
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of process or manufacturing engineering experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
Desired Characteristics:
  • Composite manufacturing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Demonstrated ability as an effective problem solver to include standardization and sustainment of countermeasures.
  • Ability to adapt to business needs & flexibility in changing priorities.
  • Ability to mentor early career engineers.
  • Strong acumen in executive level communications & engagement
  • Experience working cohesively with The different engineering teams (design, process, quality) and production team
  • Experience in project leadership and influencing teams.
  • Ability to differentiate & manage competing priorities.
