Job Summary:

RTX is seeking a highly skilled Material Review Board (MRB) Engineer to join our team at the HSMC Asheville facility. As a key member of our Turbine Blade and Vane production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain Material Review Engineer (MRE) certification through mentoring and completion of MRB classroom training.
  • Develop a clear understanding of P&W Material Review Board (MRB) procedures to ensure adherence and process compliance.
  • Review and provide technical disposition of hardware non-conformances produced internally at P&W and at supplier manufacturing locations.
  • Ensure product integrity and compliance through technical decision ownership.
  • Maintain P&W quality image to all customers through evaluation, investigation, analysis, and rework/repair process development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • 5+ years of experience in Design, Structures, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering in Aerospace or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated skill in leading and managing a technical team.
  • Experience in compression systems or hot section turbine hardware.
  • Experience in using process control/six-sigma and/or lean manufacturing tools.
  • Strong understanding of production process and ability to make appropriate risk-based decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills - Ability to work independently without oversight.
