Job Overview

The Franklin County Community Based Correctional Facility is seeking a Correctional Resident Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our facility.

About the Role

This position involves observing and monitoring the movement/behavior of felony offenders in a residential, minimum security correctional facility. You will supervise residents in accordance with rules and regulations, maintain the facility in a safe, sanitary, secure and orderly condition, document necessary paperwork, conduct searches, security checks, pat-downs, urinalysis and administration of breath analyzer, handle crisis situations and assist in intake/orientation procedures, transport residents, and participate as a member of a staff team.

Responsibilities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have good interpersonal skills and good oral/written communication skills. A background in or knowledge of corrections or social services is preferred. You must be able to function on a team and possess valid Ohio driver's license and have a good driving record.
