Job Title: Solar Site Lead/Supervisor

Origis Energy is a leading renewable energy and decarbonization solution platform, accelerating the transition to a carbon-free future. We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Site Lead/Supervisor to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Job Summary:

The Solar Site Lead/Supervisor will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar power plants, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain utility-scale solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
  • Responsible for documentation, including work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
  • Manage equipment maintenance and tool control programs.
  • Oversee site safety and accident prevention programs.
  • Run area or site training programs.
  • Maintain inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Maintain high-quality control on provided tools, vehicles, and materials.
  • Train, mentor, and develop solar technicians.
  • Ensure continuing education to meet safety and plant requirements.
  • Maintain plant vegetation requirements, including mowing and spraying routinely.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Inverter specialist or solar technician with 3+ years' experience, knowledgeable of renewable energy peculiarities, and expertise in DC array technology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic electrical calculations and read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of renewable energy industry trends and technologies.
  • Experience with solar asset management and operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

Hourly Rate:

$30-$45/hour
