Job Summary

Solar Technician - Utility Site

Spark Power, a leading provider of end-to-end electrical services, is seeking a skilled Solar Technician to join our team. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing utility-scale solar and battery storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine safety documentation and follow all Health and Safety policies to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
  • Conduct technical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance activities to maximize performance and production.
  • Energize and de-energize electrical systems, following LOTO plans and procedures.
  • Interpret schematics and blueprints to identify and address electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Perform quality assurance checklists and inspections to document deficiencies and identify corrective actions.
  • Follow OEM-specific maintenance requirements and company standards.
  • Document all work performed and provide daily digital reporting.
  • Work in a team-based environment and independently as needed.
  • Participate in on-call weekend services on a rotating schedule.
  • Identify and provide feedback on issues and ongoing development of projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education with an electrical or mechanical base is an asset.
  • State certified Journeyman license is an asset.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) is an asset.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
  • Digital literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and report writing.
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude and experience.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with a team mentality.
  • Firm commitment to safety.
