General Diagnostic Duties:
  • Maintain professional standards of care and uphold patient confidentiality.
  • Adhere to Raleigh Radiology's policies and procedures.
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures safely and effectively.
  • Evaluate and prioritize patient needs, including discharge instructions.
  • Document and communicate patient care observations accurately.
  • Administer contrast agents and assist in various tests and procedures.
  • Utilize supplies efficiently and ensure the maintenance of imaging equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and physicians.
  • Communicate clearly and utilize teaching moments with patients.
  • Respond to emergencies and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Exhibit teamwork and professionalism, demonstrating respect and courtesy.
  • Perform additional assigned responsibilities as needed.
Patient Care Activities:
  • Gather and document patient histories and assessments.
  • Engage with patients to foster a positive experience.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments during patient visits.
  • Monitor patient conditions and document any changes.
  • Assist in procedures and manage emergency situations.
  • Provide accurate patient histories to Radiologists for image analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with peers and other staff to ensure quality care.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in diagnostic radiology.
  • Strong knowledge of radiological procedures and patient care protocols.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to manage emergencies while maintaining composure.
Education and Certification:
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program with additional training in CT.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a busy clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
  • Certification: CPR certification is required within the first six months of employment. Continuous CPR certification is mandatory. Successful completion of the registry for Radiologic Technologists with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required within the first year of employment. RT-R (ARRT) and completion of the CT registry with ARRT must also be achieved within the first year of employment. RT-R(C)(ARRT) or initiation of CT training is acceptable.
  • Licensure: None required.

  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions based on patient conditions.
