Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist to support our teams in managing collections, accounts receivable, and pore-lien processes. This role requires a strong understanding of California Construction Law and the Preliminary Lien process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Collections Manager and Accounts Receivable team to manage collections, follow up on accounts, and evaluate ongoing activities.
  • Perform pore-liens and lien releases, ensuring compliance with California Construction Law.
  • Set up new accounts with appropriate credit limits and analyze credit reports, including Trans west data.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports on base sales outstanding while actively following up on customer collections and resolving long-standing issues.
  • Manage high volume in accounts receivable with a focus on clear communication and creative problem-solving.
  • Support internal and external sales teams by organizing meetings to discuss financial health and guiding the collections team in resolving specific challenges.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience with Sage 100 and Timberline software is highly preferred.
