About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Leadership professional to join our Claims Auto team as an Assistant Vice President (AVP). This is a key position that operates with a great deal of autonomy and allows for significant input and influence to the short- and long-term direction and success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a large Auto Claim organization across multiple offices
  • Oversee the claim handling of our largest line of business
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce loss costs and achieve positive loss trends
  • Partner with other non-Claim business areas to support their business goals
  • Represent Claim within cross-functional initiatives and make key decisions consistent with short and long-term Claim objectives
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a leadership position within a Claim Department in the property and casualty insurance industry
  • Bachelor's degree required with continued professional development throughout career
  • Strong skills in delegation, strategic planning, directing multiple units or departments, planning, and controlling resources and expenses, and developing staff
