Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Patient Care Technician to join our team at Liberty Dialysis - Dimond. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care and monitoring before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
  • Prepare and maintain dialysis equipment and its components for treatment.
  • Transport patients, record vital signs, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining dialysis procedures and equipment operation to alleviate anxieties.
  • Inspect and clean patient access sites, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
  • Verify equipment settings, including pressures, conductivity, and temperature, to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Start patient treatment according to physician orders and monitor for adverse reactions and equipment malfunctions.
  • Assist with inventory management and supply stocking in the dialysis clinic.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 months of dialysis, phlebotomy, or CNA/PCA experience preferred.
  • CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to distinguish primary colors and pass the Ishihara Color Vision Test.
  • Successful completion of our dialysis training program, including demonstrated competency, within 12 weeks of hire.
  • Must meet CMS-approved national certification requirements within the CMS timeline and maintain certification in good standing.
  • Flexibility to work most days and times, with no set shifts.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in clinical applications required within 90 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing, bending, stooping, walking, and sitting.
