About the Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Prosecutor Assistant. This role will provide support to the City Prosecutor and other legal staff in preparing for cases, coordinating with law enforcement agencies, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain case files, including formal information summons, bench warrants, complaints, and court docket files.
  • Obtain and review police reports, rap sheets, and other supporting evidence for criminal matters.
  • Perform complex clerical work, including data entry, document preparation, and calendar management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and preparing for court appearances, including arraignments, pre-trial hearings, and trials.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some clerical experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn new computer programs and operate standard office equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Must be certified by the Bureau of Criminal Investigations within three months of hire date.

As a member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $18.23-$30.08 per hour, commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
