Job Summary

Randstad is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join their team in Elkhart, IN. This is a direct hire opportunity that requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed civil engineering designs for land development projects, including grading, drainage, utility layout, and site planning.
  • Prepare site development plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for storm water management.
Project Management
  • Assist in the management of projects from conception through construction, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements and objectives are achieved.
  • Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and status updates.
Technical Analysis
  • Conduct technical analyses and calculations for civil engineering projects.
  • Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other engineering tools to create and review design drawings.
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Collaboration and Support
  • Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and other team members to provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits as required.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and interns.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Prior experience in civil engineering design, particularly in land development and site development for commercial and industrial projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, standards, and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $70,000 - $99,650 per year.
