Position Summary:
The Quality Engineer I plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of quality technicians, ensuring product excellence and adherence to all relevant standards, including UL and CSA. This position involves collaborating with management to devise engineering solutions for quality challenges and implementing quality control protocols at the manufacturing level.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise the activities of quality technicians, setting daily tasks and monitoring project progress.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, UL, CSA, and customer-specific requirements.
• Apply the Quality Management System effectively, including Corrective Action Systems and Document Control.
• Lead initiatives for quality enhancement using problem-solving methodologies to address quality concerns and achieve consistent process outcomes.
• Participate in projects aimed at error-proofing and continuous improvement.
• Analyze production and defect data to conduct various quality assessments.
• Facilitate training on defect root cause analysis for personnel.
• Utilize various software platforms such as SAP and Advaris for quality management.
• Develop Quality Test Plans and collaborate with suppliers on quality matters.
• Provide direct support to manufacturing teams in resolving quality issues.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Physical Sciences.
• Certification: ASQ CQE or willingness to obtain within two years.
• Experience: 3-7 years in quality management, demonstrating initiative, attention to detail, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, along with ISO 9001:2015 training. Familiarity with SAP, UL, CSA, and Lean methodologies is advantageous.
