Job Summary

Randstad is seeking a skilled Civil 3D CAD Technician to join their team in Elkhart, IN. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final project deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers on private land development projects, focusing primarily on commercial and industrial site development.
  • Process incoming field data utilizing SAM standards, evaluate the accuracy and sufficiency of data, and ensure compliance with applicable industry principles.
  • Monitor the production and quality assurance of field crews, conduct initial quality control (QC) of field deliverables, and maintain clear and effective communication with field and office staff.
  • Prepare site development plans, specifications, and cost estimates under the guidance of the Project Manager.
  • Conduct technical analyses and calculations for civil engineering projects, utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other engineering tools to create and review design drawings, and ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience required.
  • Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; MicroStation, Revit or similar application is a plus.
  • Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary: $52,000 - $66,560 per year.
  • First shift, 8 AM - 5 PM work hours.
  • High school education required.
