Role Overview
The Asset Investment Specialist will play a crucial role in providing in-house technical support and design expertise related to the Investment program and modifications to existing properties throughout all phases of a contract, from inception to completion. This position will take the lead in ensuring that asset investment initiatives are in alignment with Bield's Strategic Asset Management strategy.
We aim to cultivate a team with operational versatility over time, thus the successful candidate will be expected to engage in training and development opportunities to broaden their capabilities and support various aspects of the role as needed.
Candidate Profile
This newly established position comes at a pivotal moment for Bield. We are in search of a candidate with substantial experience in managing building refurbishment and maintenance contracts, alongside a proven track record in generating technical documentation (such as drawings and tender materials) for significant repairs and replacements of building elements.
Key qualifications include:
- Experience in organizing and leading projects.
- Technical proficiency in preparing sketch designs, working drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to identify and evaluate risks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of legislation within the construction sector.
The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, capable of liaising with a diverse range of internal professionals, external contractors, customers, local staff, local authority departments, and the public.
A degree in building surveying or Construction Management (or equivalent relevant experience) is essential, along with a valid driving license and the ability to participate in an on-call rota.
