Position Overview

The Asset Investment Specialist will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive technical support and design expertise concerning the Investment program and modifications to existing properties throughout all phases of a contract, from initiation to completion. This position carries the primary responsibility of ensuring that asset investment initiatives are in alignment with Bield's Strategic Asset Management strategy.

We aspire to cultivate a team with operational adaptability for the future, thus the successful candidate will be encouraged to engage in training and development to broaden their skill set and support various facets of the role as required by Bield.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This newly established position emerges at a pivotal moment for Bield. We are in search of a candidate with extensive relevant experience in managing building refurbishment and maintenance contracts, along with a proven track record in generating technical documentation (such as drawings and tender documents) for significant repairs and replacements of building elements.

Key qualifications include:

  • Proficiency in organizing and leading projects.
  • Technical skills necessary for preparing sketch designs, working drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate risks effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation pertinent to the construction sector.

The successful candidate will be a proficient communicator, capable of collaborating with a diverse range of internal professionals, external contractors, customers, local staff, local authority departments, and the public.

A degree in building surveying or Construction Management (or equivalent professional experience) is essential, alongside a valid driving license and the ability to participate in an on-call rota.
