Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center Operations to join our team at Pilgrim Psychiatric Center (PPC). As a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and ensuring the effective operations of PPC's adult inpatient and residential services.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain safe environments for patient care with a focus on evidence-based programs, cultural competence, and community care.
- Participate in the development of PPC's short and long-term goals.
- Establish policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Monitor and oversee staffing, assignments, and work schedules to ensure quality patient care.
- Ensure service delivery complies with OMH guidelines, values, and regulatory agency standards.
- Maintain working relationships with external organizations to maximize resources and implement program goals.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of subordinate managers.
PPC is a Joint Commission accredited NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility, providing a continuum of inpatient and outpatient mental health services to adults residing in Long Island and the Greater NYC Region. Our inpatient services include thirteen (13) units, and our outpatient services include clinics, residential programs, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, and Mobile Integration Team (MIT).

Qualified candidates must have seven (7) years of administrative, consultative, or supervisory experience in a mental health program, with three (3) years of managerial experience, including one or more of the following:
- One (1) year of experience in a position comparable to Clinical Chief of Service or Director of Mental Health Rehabilitation.
- Two (2) years of experience in a position as administrative head of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Two (2) years of professional, supervisory, or administrative experience in the development, operation, and/or implementation of the mental health service delivery system for State facilities, counties, or local/private agencies in three (3) or more of the following areas: program development, management procedures, community organization, resource planning, funding, program proposals, advisory boards, consumer and community advocacy, and intergovernmental relations.
Additionally, all candidates must be eligible to participate in Federal health care programs (e.g., Medicaid). Individuals excluded from participation in these programs will not be considered.
