Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Sea Mar Behavioral Health in Mount Vernon. The successful candidate will provide individual therapy, case management, crisis stabilization, treatment planning, and lead groups, while also collaborating with medication providers, primary physicians, and other community partners.
Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatric services, and case management in coordination with other teams or parties involved in treatment.
- Offer individual counseling, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, and treatment plans, as well as lead groups.
- Collaborate with CDMHPs, inpatient facilities, and ensure proper protocols are followed for hospitalization authorization and during discharge planning.
- Provide therapy to managed care patients pre-authorized to receive mental health treatment.
- Offer clinical supervision to other clinicians pursuing licensing requirements.
- Assist the Program Manager and clinical supervisor in conducting clinical chart reviews.
- Support agency efforts to ensure compliance with WACs, RCWs, and clinical contracts.
- Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics.
- Four or more years of clinical experience in the field.
- Active, approved license from the Washington State Department of Health.
- Meet criteria of a Mental Health Professional (MHP).
- Hold and maintain an active Washington State Mental Health Counselor License, Marriage and Family Therapist License, or Independent Clinical Social Worker License.
