Extension Educator, Agriculture/4-H Youth Development Specialist

Oklahoma State University (OSU) Extension is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Extension Educator to lead agriculture and 4-H youth development programs in Murray County. As a key member of the OSU Extension team, you will provide leadership and expertise to local clientele and advisory groups, designing, promoting, and evaluating educational programs that address the needs of the community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement research-based educational programs in agriculture and 4-H youth development, focusing on the needs of local clientele.
- Collaborate with local advisory groups, volunteer leaders, and other professionals to plan and deliver educational programs.
- Provide leadership and expertise to local clientele, fostering a positive image of OSU Extension and promoting its mission.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in agriculture and 4-H youth development, applying this knowledge to program development and delivery.
- Manage time and resources effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field.
- No experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow with the organization.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties.
- Reimbursement for official travel.
- Master's degree in Agriculture or a related field.
- Previous experience in Cooperative Extension or closely related work.
