Extension Educator, Agriculture/4-H Youth Development Specialist

Oklahoma State University (OSU) Extension is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Extension Educator to lead agriculture and 4-H youth development programs in Murray County. As a key member of the OSU Extension team, you will provide leadership and expertise to local clientele and advisory groups, designing, promoting, and evaluating educational programs that address the needs of the community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement research-based educational programs in agriculture and 4-H youth development, focusing on the needs of local clientele.
- Provide leadership and guidance to local advisory groups, volunteer leaders, and other professionals to ensure effective program delivery.
- Collaborate with OSU Extension colleagues and other stakeholders to identify and address community needs, and to develop and implement programs that meet those needs.
- Conduct needs assessments, program evaluations, and other research activities to inform program development and improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including farmers, ranchers, 4-H members, and other community leaders.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field.
- No experience required, but prior experience in Cooperative Extension or closely related work is desirable.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties.
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
- Commitment to continuing personal professional development and staying current with industry trends and research.
