Agora Cyber Charter School is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Enrollment Specialist to join our team. As an Enrollment Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Special Education Teachers, Directors, and Assistant Directors, as well as newly enrolled special education students.
Key Responsibilities- Review special education documents for newly enrolled students and administer assessments to ensure accurate placement.
- Provide new data and recommendations to the Assistant Directors of Special Education and Special Education Teachers and Case Managers.
- Collaborate with special education and general education teachers, parents, service providers, and other agencies to collect information for reevaluation and special education documentation completion.
- Establish and maintain a schedule for reviewing special education documents and testing students in a fast-paced enrollment environment.
- Communicate results by all deadlines to ensure students are placed in the correct program, level of support, courses, and curriculum.
- Current, valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of three years teaching experience in special education
- Knowledge/background in psychological assessment and measures of achievement
- Strong knowledge of the identification and monitoring of disabilities under IDEA
- Master's degree
- Extensive knowledge of special education documents, placements, and supports; progress monitoring; special education legal timelines
- Prior experience making academic progress with a range of student populations and needs
- Experience serving as a peer coach and mentor
- Experience modeling interactive, ongoing collaborative learning
