POSITION SUMMARY:
The Banquet Hospitality Associate plays a crucial role in the execution of all banquet services and related food and beverage operations. This individual is expected to adhere to the established protocols for the handling, cleaning, and disposal of food and beverages. The Banquet Hospitality Associate will contribute to upholding the standards of United Service Companies.

This role requires a commitment to delivering outstanding service to both internal and external clients consistently. The individual will embody the culture of United Service Companies while promoting the organization as a premier destination and employer of choice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
2. Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of equipment, using it solely for its intended purpose.
3. Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, regardless of the time of day or busyness.
4. Foster positive guest relations at all times.
5. Be knowledgeable about all company services/features and local attractions to accurately respond to guest inquiries.
6. Address guest complaints effectively, ensuring satisfaction.
7. Monitor and uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
8. Maintain thorough knowledge of service requirements for assigned functions, including:
    a. Pre-function preparations.
    b. Detailed menu selections, including major ingredients, presentation standards, and quality expectations.
    c. Specific characteristics of wines and champagne ordered.
    d. Pricing for specified bar selections.
    e. Station assignments and table setups.
    f. Group details, including type of function and expected attendance.
    g. Scheduled service hours and special requests.
    h. Order of service and traffic flow in the venue.
    i. VIP considerations.

Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly adhere to state liquor regulations, particularly those concerning service to minors and intoxicated individuals.

Complete pre-function tasks, including:
1. Assessing quality and quantity of all stock and supplies using a checklist.
2. Requisitioning necessary supplies and transporting them to the service area.
3. Setting tables according to service standards and preparing all condiments and beverages.
4. Ensuring an adequate supply of silverware, glassware, and chinaware for service.
5. Preparing cold food items as directed by the Supervisor.
6. Checking cleanliness and condition of assigned stations and service areas, rectifying any inefficiencies.
7. Greeting guests upon arrival and assisting with seating arrangements.
8. Taking and recording guests' orders following departmental procedures.
9. Serving food courses and beverages in accordance with function requirements.
10. Clearing tables and removing items as designated.

CLOSING DUTIES:
1. Breakdown all goods as specified.
2. Clean all assigned equipment.
3. Restock items for future service.
4. Properly store reusable goods.
5. Transport dirty linen to Laundry.
6. Secure storage areas.

Adhere to payment, cash handling, and credit policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum one year of customer service experience required.
2. At least six months of food and beverage experience required.
3. Previous banquet or catering experience preferred.
4. High school diploma or equivalent.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be a U.S. citizen or possess a valid work permit.
2. Valid Driver's License required.
3. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
4. Must possess valid OLCC and Food Handler's cards.
5. Ability to work well under pressure and follow instructions accurately.
6. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
7. Professional appearance and demeanor are essential.
8. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
9. Capability to effectively interact with guests and resolve conflicts diplomatically.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Must be able to work in various weather conditions (rain, wind, sun, heat).
2. Ability to stand and walk throughout the day.
3. Must frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
4. Capability to bend, squat, push, and pull frequently.
5. Occasional climbing of stairs and walking on uneven surfaces.
