Transportation Planner Position in New York City

AECOM is seeking a talented Junior Transportation Planner to join our team in New York City. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our exciting projects in the transportation sector.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct planning studies and prepare reports on new and updated plans, programs, and regulations.
- Review and assist in the review of development proposals and site plans for conformance with codes, plans, and regulations.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on development proposals to government bodies.
- Collect and analyze statistical data and prepare reports and maps on topics such as census information, land use, transportation tax base data, and occupancy rates.
- Assist in evaluating re-zonings, ordinance amendments, site plans, special use permits, variances, and other proposals.
- Coordinate community review of public and private development projects.
- Provide information to the public regarding development regulations.
- Assist in resolving citizen and customer issues.
- Conduct field evaluations and assessments under direct supervision.
- Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, or Transportation Planning.
- Programming skills (Python, Java, R).
