Position Summary

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Security Systems Technician:

  • Company Vehicle and Fuel Card Provided
  • Compensation: $34-45/hr based on experience
  • The Senior Security Systems Technician will handle the servicing, maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics of access control systems and IP-based video surveillance solutions. This includes a variety of equipment such as electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP and analog cameras, video recording systems, and intercom systems. Familiarity with systems like SoftwareHouse CCure, Genetec, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, etc. is essential.
Key Duties
  • Travel to commercial client locations to service and troubleshoot access control and video security systems.
  • Diagnose installation issues and implement effective solutions in line with company standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for service-related matters.
  • Exhibit proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment for CCTV systems.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and CAD drawings for low voltage applications.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide remote diagnostic support via phone and online platforms.
  • Utilize a company vehicle for travel to client sites for service tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience.
  • Experience with systems such as Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, and others is advantageous.
  • Possession of state-specific licensing or the ability to obtain it upon hiring.
  • Understanding of Windows operating systems and IT network structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and uphold the core values of Allied Universal® Technology Services.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Availability for scheduled on-call duties for emergency service requests.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a mechanical and electronic aptitude.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights of up to 16 feet.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
