Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at the University of California - San Francisco. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial compliance policies and procedures, accounts receivable, billing, and collections. You will work closely with students, departments, and partners to provide customer-oriented, value-added services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of core finance functions, analysis, project management, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for analyzing and resolving operational problems of moderate scope, managing professional relationships, and handling personal workload to ensure office service levels are achieved.

This is a remote-based position that requires occasional on-site work at our Mission Center office in San Francisco. The salary range for this position is $53.50 per hour, and the final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage financial compliance policies and procedures, accounts receivable, billing, and collections
  • Work closely with students, departments, and partners to provide customer-oriented, value-added services
  • Analyze and resolve operational problems of moderate scope
  • Manage professional relationships and handle personal workload to ensure office service levels are achieved
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and training of new systems or processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training
  • 3 or more years of work experience with managing financial compliance policies and procedures, accounts receivable, billing, and collections
  • Knowledge of core finance functions, analysis, project management, and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to apply theory and put it into practice with an in-depth understanding of the professional field
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes
