Job Summary

As a Heavy Equipment Field Technician at Ohio Machinery Co, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment, engines, and drive-train components, electrical and hydraulic systems, from a company service truck, in the field, often times at customer job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining engines and/or heavy equipment components, such as torque convertors, final drives, undercarriage, hydraulic pumps, and much more.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical issues with heavy equipment and engines.
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and engines.
  • Working with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions to their heavy equipment and engine problems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College and/or continued education in a technical field are a plus.
  • Experience related to construction or heavy equipment service and repair is required, preferably with Caterpillar equipment.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Ohio CAT standards.
  • Strong technical service skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience with construction or heavy equipment required, and strong DC electrical and machine electronic system knowledge is crucial.
