We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Instructor in Political Science to join our team at the University of California, San Diego. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses on a temporary basis, as needed, and will be selected from a pool of applicants.
Key Responsibilities- Teach courses in Political Science, as assigned, and develop curriculum to meet the needs of students.
- Hold office hours to meet with students, provide guidance, and answer questions.
- Assign grades, advise students, and prepare course materials, including syllabi and course websites.
- Manage and mentor graduate student Teaching Assistants, as needed.
Qualified candidates must hold a PhD in Political Science or a closely related field, or a related professional degree. Prior research or practical experience relevant to the course(s) to be taught, as well as prior college-level teaching experience, are preferred.
